No. 13 NIACC women stop Iowa Lakes, 86-70

ESTHERVILLE — The No. 13 NIACC women's basketball team connected on 17 3-point goals in an 86-70 victory over Iowa Lakes in ICCAC action on Wednesday.
"We made seven threes in the first quarter and scored 23 points," said NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto, whose team was 17 of 42 from behind the arc. "I don't mind us shooting so many 3s because we make a good percentage."
Trudy Peterson had six 3-pointers, finishing with a team-high 23 points, while Savannah Lentz added 19 points – including five 3s. Diamond Miller also reached double figures for the Lady Trojans (18-10, 10-3), who travel to Kirkwood on Saturday.
Asiya Smith led Iowa Lakes with a game-high 25 points.
