No. 9 NIACC opens season with victory, 76-51

WAPHETON, N.D. - The ninth-ranked NIACC women opened their season with a 76-51 win over North Dakota State College of Science on Friday in the NDSCS tournament.
Savannah Lentz drained six three pointers and led the Lady Trojans with 24 points.
"I was very impressed with how they played together and how they played as a team," NIACC coach Todd Ciochetto said. "Their effort was off the charts."
Trudy Peterson scored 12 points - all on 3-pointers - and Sammie Sproul chipped in 10 points to give NIACC three players in double figures.
Sam Adamich and Anna Eckert added eight and seven points, respectively.
NIACC resumes play today at noon against Williston State College in their final game of the tournament.
