MASON CITY - The No. 22 NIACC softball team swept an ICCAC doubleheader from Hawkeye CC Sunday afternoon on the NIACC campus.
NIACC (23-12 overall, 8-4 in the ICCAC) won the first game 3-1 and completed the sweep with a 6-3 win in the second game.
In the first game, NIACC freshman left-hander Chloe Thurlby scattered seven hits and collected 12 strikeouts to gain the win in the circle.
NIACC's JoAnna Wallace was 1 for 2 with a double and three RBIs. The Trojans' Aubrey Chapman was 2 for 3.
In the second game, the Trojans' Ally Wall gained the win in the circle. She pitched six innings allowing three runs with six strikeouts.
Wall was also 3 for 3 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Katie Riesselman, Mya Bunkers and Kennedi McGarvey each drove in a run for the Trojans.
