Trojans fall to Central CC-Columbus
COLUMBUS, Neb. - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Central CC-Columbus Thursday in an ICCAC contest.
Central CC-Columbus won 25-20, 25-14, 25-18.
"We really struggled to get things going (Thursday)," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said, "and made things more challenging than needed."
Freshman Jocelynn Coleman led the Trojans with 13 kills and two blocks. Sophomore Megan Tobin had six kills and two blocks and sophomore Hannah Brinkman had six kills, two blocks and one ace serve.
NIACC sophomore Kenedee Frayne had 16 assists, four digs and one ace serve and freshman Kendal VanMinsel had eight assists, three blocks and two ace serves.
The Trojans' Bailey Dagestad had three kills and two blocks, Brielle Volker had 11 digs and two kills, Emma Miller had two kills, two digs and one block and Carissa Timmerman had 14 digs and three assists.
NIACC (14-17 overall, 3-8 in the ICCAC) wraps up its regular season Wednesday in an ICCAC match at DMACC.
