Trojans remain No. 9 in latest poll
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's basketball team remained No. 9 in the NJCAA Divsion II poll released Monday.
NIACC (20-2 overall, 14-2 in the ICCAC) topped Southeastern CC 99-53 and then No. 22 Northeast CC 72-66 last week. NIACC has won 10 straight games and has not dropped a contest in the 2026 calendar year.
The Trojans have been ranked in all of 12 of the polls in the 2025-26 season.
The top 10 from last week's poll remained the same. Johnson County (24-0) is ranked No. 1 and Schoolcraft College (21-0) is ranked No. 2.
Kirkwood (19-3, 13-2) is ranked No. 7 and Iowa Lakes (17-5, 13-2) is ranked No. 17.
NIACC returns to action Saturday at home in an ICCAC contest against Iowa Western. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 1 p.m.
