No. 9 Trojans roll, 99-53

MASON CITY - The No. 9 NIACC women's basketball team cruised to a 99-53 victory over Southeastern CC Wednesday night in an ICCAC contest in the NIACC gym.
NIACC (19-2 overall, 13-2 in the ICCAC) led 35-12 after the first quarter and were never threatened. The Trojans outscored the Blackhawks 19-16 in the second quarter to take a 54-28 halftime lead.
The 99 points by the Trojans is the most they have scored in a game since routing Central CC-Columbus 109-58 on Jan. 3. The Trojans moved their win streak to nine games.
Sophomore guard Reggi Spotts, the reigning ICCAC player of the week, led the Trojans with 23 points. Spotts also had a career-high eight assists, three rebounds and two steals.
Freshman forward Ciara Seifert scored 18 points and collected a game-high 15 rebounds for her 10th double/double of the season. Seifert also had five blocks, four assists and one steal.
Freshman Zaria Falls and freshman Peyton Meincke were also in double figures for the Trojans with 16 and 11 points, respectively. Falls also had four assists, three rebounds and three steals while Meincke had four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
NIACC's Ella Stoskopf, who scored four points, grabbed six rebounds. Ella Mullenbach scored five points and collected five rebounds.
NIACC dished out a season-high 30 assists in Wednesday's win over Southeastern CC (7-15, 2-12). The Trojans' previous season-high assist total was 24 three times.
NIACc returns to action Saturday in a league game at No. 22 Northeast CC (14-6, 9-5) in Norfolk, Neb.. The Hawks dropped a 79-68 decision to No. 19 Iowa Lakes on Wednesday.
